Hi, I’m Ethan
I’m an illustrator and artist living in Pennsylvania. I grew up drawing pirate ships, medieval characters, and reading science fiction. Somewhere along the line I fell in love with painting as well. I hold a BFA in illustration from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia.
I love creating art that focuses on the power behind a story; whether that be an introspective sci-fi portrait, an awe inspiring landscape, or a quiet moment. There is a story to behind everything, even if it isn't front and center. I'm inspired by artwork that shares the atmosphere of a scene, or the "chills" of a narrative driving concept.Currently I’m working both traditionally in oil paints and digitally, whatever the situation calls for. Many of the images in my gallery included a few sketches at varying stages for a little further insight into my process.
